Our Services
At Gravestones Clean and Reclaim, we specialize in grave cleaning and gravestone preservation. Our dedicated team ensures every memorial stone is treated with the utmost respect and care, providing a service that's both professional and compassionate.
For each memorial stone we service, we remove mold, lichen, and other debris from the stone structure. We spray the stone with an environmentally safe (People Safe, Pet Safe, Plant Safe) solution that provides immediate surface cleansing, while also penetrating the stone to continue removing molds and dirt beneath the surface for days after our service. Over time, the stone brightens to its original shade after we are done. We will return within 30 days to determine whether a second solution spray is required, which is also included. We are happy to provide before & after pictures via email if requested.
Our Cleaning Solutions
Environmentally Safe
The solution we use for grave cleaning and memorial restoration is Plant Safe, Pet Safe, and People Safe. It is not a hazardous material and requires no special handling or protection. Technically speaking, it is considered essentially non-toxic if swallowed, with an oral LD50 of 2.0 g/kg of body weight. There is no need for special ventilation during use. It is non-mutagenic and contains no carcinogenic compounds as defined by NTP, IARC, or OSHA. This solution is completely soluble in water as a transparent, low viscosity liquid and has a pH of 9.5, making it ideal for gravestone preservation.
How it Works
The solution used for grave cleaning is a biological solution that is biodegradable and effectively removes stains from mold, algae, mildew, lichens, and air pollution. This solution can be safely applied on marble, granite, limestone, brownstone, travertine, masonry, terra cotta, concrete, stucco, wood, canvas, vinyl & aluminum siding, and various architectural surfaces, including monuments, sculpture, and headstones, making it ideal for gravestone preservation and memorial restoration.
Our solution is fast-acting and contains no acids, salts, or chlorine. It is pH neutral and will not etch metals or glass. The solution is applied and works with the natural elements to reveal impressive results within one week to one month, depending on the severity of growth and weather conditions. Over time, the surface will become cleaner as the biological stains release. We are aslo bonded/insured to protect your investment from unforeseeable accidents - just to give us both peace of mind.
